IMRAM 2010
|
In 2010, IMRAM is delighted to mark the centenary of the birth of Máirtín Ó Direáin, with a debate and lecture on his work. In conjunction with Iarnród Éireann’s Poems on the DART, poems by Ó Direáin will be displayed on trains from September onwards. Collaboration is key to IMRAM’s achievements in 2010 – including Riverrun, a special bilingual poetry/music performance staged to a packed house at the Dublin Writers’ Festival; three readings for Culture Night, in partnership with Poetry Ireland; and Scéalta Átha Cliath/Dublin Stories, a major promotion in tandem with Dublin City Libraries and ClubLeabhar.com. IMRAM 2010 reflects the festival’s commitment to an eclectic approach, and this year’s staging of experimental poet Séamas Cain’s The Prairie Gaeltacht and tríd an gcoill will be special. With gala readings and round-table discussions; music and song; workshops, drama and an audio-visual installation – IMRAM 2010 celebrates the ongoing vibrancy of Ireland’s literature in Irish.
